Robert Ford has represented the people of
Senate district 42 for the last 16 years. He was re-elected in 2008
with 75% of the vote. He is well known for his ability to forge
coalitions across party lines to get things done for the people of
South Carolina, especially with his longtime friend and fellow
Charlestonian, Senator Glenn McConnell.

It's way past time for our beautiful state to rise to the top instead of always occupying the bottom rungs on the ladder... on education, health care and quality of life. And it's time that we stop being near the top in poverty, unemployment, violent crime and youngsters who fail to finish high school. I believe in doing what's right for all the people of this state.
